Chintsa Beach Improvements

One of the first intentions of the Friends of Chintsa was the improvement of beach access in Chintsa East. Including:

  • repairing the causeway,
  • installing shower facilities and improving the public toilets,
  • displaying educational information about the sea, beach and shoreline
  • redeveloping the recreational space and braai area,
  • as well as erecting a boardwalk and viewing platform to enjoy Chintsa beautiful beach vista.

Of the mentioned intentions Friends are really pleased to have completed their first Chintsa beach project. With funding from Nola Projects improvement work started in January 2010

Beach Signage

After a lengthly process we are really pleased to have some top class educational signs at the entrance to Chintsa East beach for all to learn and enjoy.

Sandy Shores Safety at the Shore Rocky Shores

It has been great to see the Ladies group and CERPA team up to further initiate some good improvements to signage at the beach access. Thanks to Andy Jackson and George Dabner for their time on the signage and to the ladies for the donation for new signage.
