Being a sportsman of any kind comes with looking after your sports equipment and keeping it in the best condition possible.By doing this your equipment lasts a lot longer and it's almost as if your equipment looks after you in return.Surfing equipment is a bit more trickier as there are many more factors to take into consideration.Our basic maintenance will be teaching our surfers to always wash and rinse off there boards and wetsuits after EVERY surf.Every second week there will be a wax change which is probably the worst of jobs but also the most important!Unfortunately surfboards are made out of specific materials in order to keep them as light as possible (this making them easier to carry around and surf with) which is a major positive but the negative with this is they are extremely fragile and if dropped they are almost dinged(hole in the surfboard)immediately!So a very important part of our maintenance will be to teach our surfers to work with resin and epoxy and by doing this they can not only fix there own boards but also start fixing other surfers' boards and maybe earn some pocket money for themselves!!Wetsuit repairs are a common thing unfortunately but also very easy to maintain and repair!After all I'm sure these surfers will be too happy to keep their equipment in good condition at all times!!!!
