Ngxingxolo Pre-school Roof

The vibrant Pre-School in Ngxingxolo, Mooiplaas, has struggled for many years to keep their learner out of the rain, especially when the learners are in the classroom! So it was time to repair the roof.

The roof of the pre-school was no longer keeping out inclement weather and instead of channelling the precious rain to the water tanks the learners simply got wet. For a successful project the whole roof, including timbers, had to be replaced with new trusses and shiny new corrugated zinc. So with thanks for the donation to the Friends of Chintsa the young learners have the chance to learn in the dry (with harvested drinking water).

The work was undertaken in the early part of 2010.
