Township 2 Village Project

Hi All
with the support of International Student Volunteers [ISV]the Township 2 Village project kicked off in Chintsa this past week. Please watch this post as the current volunteers add detail of there experiences on this project
Hey Everyone, I am one of the volunteers here in the township of Chintsa this past couple of weeks. In just this short amount of time we have accomplished a great deal. We have created a playground which is instrumental in creating a sense of community for the people of Chintsa. We have also installed waste bins throughout the township. This is an important inititive to continue due to the pressing enviromental issues in this area. We planted several trees in and around Chintsa. These trees give the place a sense of belonging and worth. We also made a bench sitting area for the villagers to sit and enjoy watching their children play and grow.
All of this was accomplished in less then two weeks. With help from other volunteers and financial aid we can keep this much needed project going. There is so much more we hope to accomplish and with people like you this hope can become a reality.
