WaterWise Water Safety Initiative

A great new partnership has been created with WaterWise and the Friends of Chintsa helping reduce the number of child deaths due to drowning. WaterWise, the education arm of the NSRI, developed a training course offered to children and adults in an effort to combat child fatalities. In March 2010 WaterWise instructors trained Friends volunteers as trainers to deliver the course to schools and community groups in the Chintsa area. Since the initial training Friends have delivered courses at Chintsa East Primary School, Byletts High School and now the training team are looking for further opportunities. Photos to come
